MARIO TESTINO en el MALBA

Desde el 14 de marzo al 9 de junio de 2014se presentara en el Museo de Arte latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA) la exposición  Mario Testino: In Your Face .

Uno de los fotógrafos más influyentes del mundo, se presenta un conjunto de 122 fotografías, seleccionadas por el propio Testino, que refleja la diversidad de su obra.

Mario Testino: In Your Face es un acercamiento íntimo al mundo y a la producción del célebre fotógrafo peruano. Incluye sus imágenes más atrevidas e icónicas y muestra diferentes aspectos de su trabajo: desde fotografías de moda y publicidad, hasta imágenes autobiográficas y provocadoras, que hablan sobre la elegancia, la belleza, el estilo, la irreverencia y la contradicción. 

La exposición combina sus trabajos de muchos años para revistas como Vogue y Vanity Fair y para firmas como Gucci, Versace, Chanel y Dior. Refleja la interacción de los medios masivos de comunicación, el glamour y los íconos de la cultura popular, como Kate Moss, Gisele Bündchen, Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mick Jagger, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Brad Pitt y David Beckham, entre otros. Mario Testino: In Your Face se presentó por primera vez (octubre 2012 - febrero 2013) en el Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, donde recibió más de 150.000 espectadores. 

Mario Testino es uno de los fotógrafos de moda y retrato más prolíficos del mundo. Nacido en Lima, Perú, reside en Londres desde 1976. Su trabajo es publicado periódicamente en las revistas de moda, diseño y lifestyle más importantes, También es reconocido internacionalmente por ser el fotógrafo de la realeza europea. Publicó más de 12 libros, entre los que se destacan: Mario Testino. Private View / Kate Moss by Mario Testino / Mario Testino. Let me in / Mario de Janeiro Testino. Expuso en museos y galerías de todo el mundo, como la National Portrait Gallery (Londres), el Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza (Madrid), el Shanghai Art Museum y el Museum of Fine Arts (Boston).  
Es uno de los principales embajadores de Perú en el mundo. Luego de vivir más de 35 años fuera de su país, en 2012 fundó en la ciudad de Lima MATE, Asociación Mario Testino, un espacio cultural donde exhibe su obra y organiza diferentes programas culturales.

The exhibition combines his many years of work for magazines such as Vogue and Vanity Fair and for brands like Gucci, Versace, Chanel,Dior. Reflects the interaction of the mass media, glamor and icons of popular culture such as Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen, Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mick Jagger, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Brad Pitt and David Beckham, among others.
Mario Testino: In Your Face was first introduced (October 2012 - February 2013) in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where he received more than 150,000 spectators.
